City Info Africa And My Perception Of Nigerian Cities!
I recently found City Info Africa, a platform that is committed to promoting a lifestyle that is rich in culture and heritage, and I immediately fell in love.
It’s been a while since I have appreciated the society in which I live and work. I have, honestly, become a typical 9–5 lagosian: wake up go to work … come back go to sleep.
I guess you can say I’m basically missing out on life, but then I found City Info Africa a platform that exposes its readers to diverse experiences in shopping, dining, nightlife, art and entertainment of various cities via its magazines, website and mobile app and I fell in love with Lagos again! I mean look at this cover of the Polly Alakija’s muriel under the Falomo bridge in Ikoyi!!
The platform has till date toured the cities of Lagos, Abuja and Ibadan.
I particularly fell in love with the city of Ibadan through the eyes of the talented photographer, Kunmi Owopetu. I have been to Ibadan a lot of times. More times than I can remember. But it has always seemed to me like an ancient city; an easily forgettable artefact. But going through the different editions of IBCityInfo, I have fallen in love with the centre of administration of the old Western Region.
I have to go to Ibadan again. Maybe take a quick vacation with IBCityInfo in hand and I’m sure to have a great time.
Plus you need to see the way Lagos is presented in the new City Info edition. I live in Lagos but I haven’t been to half the places listed in the latest edition of the city guide. I have already noted down a few of these places to go soon.
So yeah, if you think there’s nothing to do in Lagos, or Ibadan or Abuja, you need to grab yourself an edition of the City Info guides and you’re sure to find something to do or somewhere to go.
We have beautiful cities in Nigeria. Why vacation elsewhere?
I’m going to take a page from my own book and take a vacation, maybe to the city of Ibadan in the coming weeks!!
Lots of love!!
